Freedom

On July 4th, we will celebrate 247 years of freedom from England. I am so grateful that I live in a free country. Yeah, there are areas where the United States has much work to do, but we are still the greatest country on earth in my opinion.  We have the most beautiful and diverse scenery anywhere, and we are free to enjoy it all.

But the greatest freedom of all comes from being free "IN" Christ. Colossians 1:13-14 says, "For He has rescued us from the darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of His dear Son, Who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins." 

What a thought, "Jesus came to our rescue and set us free from our oppressor!" Because of Jesus, I can walk freely in His grace. That truth still amazes me after all these years. Thank You, Jesus!
